How to create a WiFi QR Code
- Enter your Network Name (SSID): This is the exact name of your WiFi network as it appears on devices.
- Select the Encryption Type: Choose WPA/WPA2 (the most common and secure), WEP, or None if the network is open.
- Enter the Password: Type the WiFi password carefully. This data is processed locally and is never sent to our servers.
- Hidden Network: Check the box if your WiFi network does not broadcast its name.
- Download: Click download to get a high-quality PNG to print and display!
Why use a WiFi QR Code?
Typing out complex, secure WiFi passwords is frustrating for guests and customers. A WiFi QR code streamlines this process into a single scan from a smartphone camera.
- Cafes & Restaurants: Print the code on menus or table tents. Enhance the customer experience without staff having to constantly repeat the password.
- Airbnbs & Hotels: Include a framed QR code in the guest room to make them feel instantly at home.
- Offices: Provide a seamless onboarding experience for visitors or contractors needing internet access.
- Home Use: Stick one on the fridge so friends can connect as soon as they walk in.
Is it secure?
Absolutely. Our tool generates static QR codes. The WiFi credentials you enter are encoded directly into the pattern of the image on your own device. We do not store your password, nor do we track scans. The QR code simply instructs the user's phone to connect to the local network using the provided credentials.
